Inside the Upcoming Hoppers Hoppin’ Fun Homestand

Greensboro opens its second homestand of the season Tuesday as the Grasshoppers open a two-game set against Kannapolis at 7 p.m. The six-game homestand includes a 10:45 a.m. game on Wednesday before the Hoppers welcome Hagerstown to NewBridge Bank Park for four games beginning Thursday. 

Currently Greensboro boasts a 12-6 record and is one win shy of matching its best start (through 20 games) in franchise history when the Hoppers went 13-7 in 2007.

The Hoppers are coming off of a six-game road trip in which they posted a 4-2 record including a two-game sweep against the Kannapolis Intimidators on Saturday and Sunday.

The following is an in-depth promotional look at the upcoming homestand:

Tuesday, April 22 @ 7:00 p.m. --- Kannapolis
Tuesday’s game, a Time Warner Cable Tuesday, gives fan an opportunity to receive $1 off a regular-priced ticket by bringing a Time Warner Cable statement to the Grasshoppers Box Office at the time of purchase.

Wednesday, April 23 @ 10:45 a.m. --- Kannapolis
Wednesday’s School Day game is the first of two School Day games Greensboro will host this season. Come out to the park for a 10:45 a.m. start and join a multitude of local school kids who will be out enjoying a well-deserved educational break.

Thursday, April 24 @ 7:00 p.m. --- Hagerstown
The Hoppers and the Suns kick off a four-game series and is the only time Hagerstown visits NewBridge Bank Park this season. Thursday’s also the second time this season the Hoppers are hosting a Natty Greene’s Thirsty Thursday. Fan can come out to the park to take advantage of discounted beverages throughout the stadium and enjoy the 9-inning in the GoTriad Grandstand and on Natty’s Hill.

Friday, April 25 @ 7:00 p.m. --- Hagerstown
Lincoln Financial Fireworks Friday is sure to be a blast. Bring the whole family out the ballpark to watch a great game and the hilarious entertainment gimmicks of the ZOOperstars! The ZOOperstars! will on the field between select innings and roaming the stands of NewBridge Bank Park during the game. Be sure to stick around for post-game fireworks from center field.

Saturday, April 26 @ 7:00 p.m. --- Hagerstown
Wrangler presents the second of 12 Skyrocket Saturdays as the Hoppers host Hagerstown for Game 3 of a four-game set. The action begins at 7:00 p.m. on the field and concludes with a second-consecutive night of fireworks from center field.

Sunday, April 27 @ 5:00 p.m. --- Hagerstown
Seeing red? You will be on Sunday in the final game of a six-game homestand as the Hoppers host Red Hatters Day at the ballpark. Along with a multitude of Red Hatters at the park, Moses Cone Health System is sponsoring a Family Day Sunday. As part of the Moses Cone Health System Family Day Sunday, kids can enjoy pre-game catch on the field with parents and friends followed by a post-game Kids Run the Bases with Miss Babe Ruth.
