Greensboro, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers launched a new website design on Wednesday, February 1, that will showcase an attractive site design, more user-friendly options and better multimedia capabilities.
The web address remains the same (http://www.gsohoppers.com), but the site was designed and is now managed by Beacon Technologies, a local company in Greensboro.
"In partnering with Beacon, we have set up our website to be more user friendly," said Katie Dannemiller, Vice President of Baseball Operations. "Gsohoppers.com now has more information, interaction capabilities and fun features we hope our fans will enjoy."
The restructured website features areas such as a photo gallery, where fans can check out their favorite pictures and a Kids Zone with coloring pages and games for the youngest fans. To help fans find specific information easily, the site also includes a search function.
Also increasing usability, fans can now order merchandise and tickets easily online. Fans utilizing the ticketing feature can also use the ‘Print-at-Home’ option, where fans can print their game tickets at home and go straight to the stadium gates.
In order to maintain the fresh look of the website, the Grasshoppers now have the ability to update multiple areas of the site on a daily basis.
"This capability will keep our website current and timely," said Amanda Williams, Director of Creative Services and Media Relations for the Grasshoppers. "Fans will be able to keep more up-to-date on what is happening with the Grasshoppers and at First Horizon Park."
The Greensboro Grasshoppers open the 2006 season at home on Thursday, April 6, against the Hagerstown Suns at 7 p.m. Individual tickets will go on sale February 25. For more information, visit http://www.gsohoppers.com or call (336) 268-BALL.
