The week of May 15th proved a strong one not only for the Grasshoppers as a team, but also for two key contributors.

Kris Harvey earned the BC Powder South Atlantic League Batter of the Week honors by batting .375 on the week and slugging four homeruns.  With 11 RBI's, Harvey also scored eight runs for the Grasshoppers, who have won six of their last seven games.  On the year, Harvey has tagged six doubles with eight homeruns and 25 runs batted in.

Thompson, the BC Powder South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week, compiled two wins in his last two starts.  He allowed nine hits with four runs, only one of which was earned in 13.0 innings of work this past week.  Striking out 13 batters and walking only two, Thompson's solid work lowerd his ERA to 2.84.

The Hoppers come back to Greensboro this Saturday at 7:00pm for a four game series against the Lake County Captains.
