THOMPSON EARNS WIN IN ALL-STAR GAME

EASTLAKE, OH-With one inning pitched and two strikeouts thrown, the Grasshopper's own pitcher Aaron Thompson earned the win for the North on Tuesday in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game.  

The North totaled 12 strikeouts and keyed in on South errors to take the victory 4-0. Pitching a perfect sixth inning, the lefty was recognized as the pitcher of the game for his performance.

Third baseman Mat Gamel of West Virginia received the Most Valuable Player award as he doubled and scored in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth as he drove in the North's final run. He was also the only player to have multiple hits.

Jo Jo Reyes took the loss for the South, pitching 2.0 innings, giving up no earned runs, and striking out four.
