A black Labrador Retriever, Miss Babe Ruth is entering her third season as the Hoppers "bat girl". She made her on-field debut at the ripe age of nine months (8/2/06) and is believed to have been the youngest employee in Minor League Baseball history.

Fans at the ballpark can expect to see "The Great Bambina" at Grasshoppers games bringing baseballs to the umpire, retrieving bats and taking victory laps around the bases.

During the off season, she carries out normal workdays with the Hoppers staff with the primary focus of greeting ballpark guests and learning the tricks of the trade.

Babe currently resides in Greensboro with the Moore family and her little brother Yogi.
